1 Day Trip ~ Batam

This Batam Trip is kinda last min thingy.. haha.. We went with a bunch of good friends & of course Benson is tagging along since he has recover from the nasty HFMD... So is time for him to break free from home & head out for some fun.. Our Ferry time is 8plus... But! I miss that ferry because we are eating Mac breakfast... At first we went to Mos Burger for breakfast but realise that it doesn't fill our tummy... The serving is quite small.. So we decided to go for second round breakfast which is Mac... Haha.. That's the reason we miss our ferry...! But luckily there is one more ferry which is at 920am... Haha... So to avoid making the same mistake again... We went to Q up for check in...

on our way to Hotel... Bumping ride!

After reached... We went to the Hotel that we booked to put our bags.. Because normal check in timing is 2pm.. We went to shop around... Bought Cars sling bag for Benson.. & Guess what! Is only $3.... Damm cheap... Haha.. we bought blanket & other stuff too.. Went to had our lunch.. Is super cheap too... ! After walking around for a while... We return to Hotel for Check in... The room is super big! & see thru toliet.. Which is good for couple & family with small kid... =) At least when u have the urge to poo.... Ur child can see u fully when he is in the bedroom playing... =) Of course there is blind too to roll down for some privacy....

We engage a Car with Driver.. For 7 of us is only Sg $80 ... He can bring u around from morning till 9pm.. & He will wait for u while u shop & U can ask him abt what kind of interesting places to visit...We visited the temple first... After pray we went to the roadside stall which is located around the temple.. The food is super yummy... & is only $2.... One thing bad abt the trip is.. The weather is super duper hot! So we drank lots & lots of water...

After temple & filling our tummy... We went to one of the shopping center... =) We bought 3 boxes of toys for Benson at one of the departmental stall.. Is on discount... Total is only $18 for 3 boxes... Of course he is a happy kid that day... Haha... =) Walk around & shop a little...

Next stop will be the beach side... Actually is nothing much there.. Honestly we choose the wrong timing! Because we almost get burned by the sun.. We didn't stay long there... Just took some photo... & Benson play sand for a while...

 

After that we went to those factory outlet... end up didn't buy anything... haha.. Me, Benson & one of the gf stayed in the car blowing air con.. Because Benson fell asleep on our way there... phew... he was so cranky when he wanna nap & he don't nap... finally he give up & close his eyes...

Night came.. & we had a good bath in the hotel first.. Change clothes then head out for dinner.. There is one outdoor food court just beside the hotel that we are staying... I was so surprise that it was huge! very big space.. with lots of stall... & there is live singing on stage.. & also some local Bingo game... Luckily night time there is wind blowing & everywhere start to cool down.. We ate lots of food... Haha... Got sambal stingray, porridge, prawn noodle, BBQ chicken wing, clayfish... & many other... Hotel is suppose to eat eat & eat...! So i didn't care much about putting on weight too... haha...

After all with a very very full tummy! We went to our fav spot.. Guess! Which is the Supermarket! Haha.. So auntie la.. But most of the item is super super cheap.. So we really stock up.. Some woman stuff.. Which we really buy alot... Maggie! One box of them which has 40 packs! Haha.. but we share among the 3 of us... haha... & many other stuff & we start to wonder how are we going bring all this back to sg... haha.. so we bought a recycle bag to dump all inside & carry...

 

Last trip will be massage in Hotel spa for the ladies.. too bad they only can take in 2... very nice of Yvonne to give me her slot.. & of course i feel bad about it.. Anyway since she insist.. i just go along... All the guys are in one room watching soccer & be baby sitter for Benson... LOL...

HFMD ~ 4th & 5th Day

Yesterday those red rashes slowly become a little bigger... Like blister kind.. Benson still complains that he couldn't walk.. guess is because the blister on his knee hurt so much that is hard to walk.. but he been a super super brave boy trying to walk slowly without fussing or crying.. & i realise the itchy is gone too because he doesn't scratch his leg anymore... His food intake is still ok.. keep asking for ice cream.. One good thing is that he still will request for food.. which is a good sign.. =)

Today which is the 5th day of HFMD... Those nasty blister is starting to dry up! Which is a super good sign for us! Hehe.. means he is gonna recover soon.. Benson told me he could walk fast fast already... =) Means no more pain for him.. So we hoping to see more changes tmr.. Of course is for the better.. ^^

HFMD ~ 3rd Day

Today is the 3rd day battling with HFMD... Benson complains that he couldn't walk! & That really pain me so much.. =( I told him i hold his hand to walk slowly... I don't know why... But i didn't hear that HFMD will affect walking? & i google it with no answer... So now he bend his knees a little to walk... slowly.. Especially after sleep or nap after awake.. That's the worst time to get up fast to walk.. Today alot of red spot appear again... Mostly on his Knee... & Elbow.. I feel that Elbow has the biggest & most red sore... He been asking for ice cream... But i told him max i will only give him 2 small cup a day.. just in case he gets cough after too much cold stuff... Today he ate some noodle at dinner... Well... At least he can still eat a little.. Hope Our Boy get well soon...

 

Battle with HFMD

Remembered from my last post ytd I was praying that Benson is not having HFMD.. Guess what! He is confirm case for HFMD.. Here it goes about how we realize it..

Yesterday after Benson nap.. He is active & start playing with toys in living room.. I spotted some red rashes on his chin.. & check his hands & feet.. Maybe the red spots haven develop on his hand & feet when I did the first check.. Then I went to " Google " about it.. Wanna to see image of HFMD as we never come across this before... Then after doing some research.. I went back to Benson & check again.. The red spots start developed on his knee, hands, feet, ears... & it get itchy at times.. So I called papa Ben saying that 90 % should be confirm that Benson is having HFMD.. So we bring him back to the clinic just to confirm..

The hair is covering.. But there's a few on his ears...

 

This is so itchy that is affecting his sleep.. =(

Doctor did some checking.. He is having slight fever.... 37.7... I find it strange! Because I just check him at home before going out.. He has no fever at all.. So now I'm wondering if my thermo is working well.. =\ but anyway.. After some checking.. Doc said that is confirm that he is having HFMD.. Use torchlight to check his mouth & showed me the red spots in his mouth.. The infected area is near his throat.. So we came back home after that.. With 10 days MC..

After went home.. Benson is still active.. But just some itch on his knee & feet.. I asked him try not to scratch it.. Fed him some panadol & put him to bed at 9.20pm.. Usual sleeping time... After a while he complains that he is having tummy ache.. Whining.. Crying in pain.. Apply ru Yi oil for him & massage his tummy.. ( actually I did ask doc to check on his tummy because lately he complains abt having pain on his tummy , but doc say his tummy is fine ) after a while of massage & coaxing.. He finally fell asleep.. Papa Ben & I slept early too.. Because we are so drain & tired.. So better to restore some energy for the next day battle.. & hoping that Benson will feel better each day.. It pains every parents to see our love ones in pain & couldn't do anything much to relieve it.. Praying that we will get by soon.. & Benson to recover fully & soon..

Fever Virus

Yesterday Morning Benson is still feeling all fine & active playing with his new Thomas train set before getting change for school..

 All went well & he went up the school bus & goes to school.. At about 9.30am while I'm having breakfast with Mother in law at nearby coffee shop.. Received a call from the school.. Saying that Benson is having high fever... So i start asking how high is his fever...Teacher told me was 38.9... Which i start to panic.. Because is just too sudden for me... & 38.9 is consider quite high for kids.. So I quickly rush & wanna take a cab.. but that timing is super hard to get one.. So i took a bus in there.. Reached school... I was shock when I see my poor boy lying down sleeping with a wet cloth on his forehead to cool him down from the fever... His lips was pale... I try to on call cab because i try not to carry him out under a hot sun for bus.. I call & call.. But there is not a single cab available... =.= I'm getting a little impatient... time while waiting for a cab seem like forever.. Luckily there is someone alight outside the school gate.. & Teacher went over to ask the uncle if he can fetch us... Phew.. luckily he ok.. So we board the cab & went straight to the clinic...

Upon reaching the clinic.. We are lucky that there is not much people waiting.. our turn came within 15 mins..  Doctor check his temp.. is 38.2... & check if there is any ulcer on his hand & feet & mouth... Because I told doc that there is 2 case of HFMD in school... There is one ulcer spotted in his mouth near throat.. But doc say that the ulcer doesn't seem like HFMD... So we need to observe him for another few days... Doctor insert a pill in Benson's butt in order to bring down the temp faster.. & also Given panadol & Bufen to bring home just in case the fever comes back...

Reached home.. His temp drop due to the butt pill.... after a while he took a nap.. till about 4 plus pm he start complaining cold... Check his temp , knowing that the fever is coming back.. Wanna feed him panadol but he cried badly... He feel really bad... Give him hugs & ensure him that after medicine he will feed better.. & a little force is apply in order to get him fully drink up the panadol..

I'm glad that he is feeling better... & finger cross that is not HFMD... He keep telling me that he wanna go school.. I told him when he recover he will return back to school.. =)
